This Nikon Teleconverter can be used to increase the focal length of your telephoto lens by 40%, with minimal loss of lens performance or image quality. Note that using the Teleconverter decreases your aperture by one stop: for example a lens which is f/4 becomes f/5.6 when the Teleconverter is used.
