This lens is one of a pair of very high quality wide-angle "L" lenses - the other is the 24mm f/1.4 L. It offers great sharpness and contrast, and is Canon's fastest lens in the 'fairly-wide-but-not-very-wide' category. Superb for landscapes, group portraits, and street photography.
